Owner of Nick’s Mini Golf reflects on the success of the brand’s first summer and shares plans for the future

While his friends enjoyed late nights, extended vacations and the typical antics of college summers, 18-year-old Nick Geracimos was grinding away at what would become one of Ocean City’s most beloved mini golf destinations – Nick’s Mini Golf. The brand is now entering its seventh season with a new location, better deals and more.
In the summer of 2015, Geracimos abandoned his restaurant job in pursuit of becoming his own boss and business owner. He jumped at the opportunity to lease two putt-putt courses – one on 18th Street and the other on 125th – and transform them into a colorful, Key West-themed golf haven for visitors.
“After summer one, I knew we had a great product,” says Geracimos. “I realized after, though, that we needed a strong theme that kids would love, so we went with dinosaurs.”
Several Jurassic Golf and Dino Golf spots now grace Ocean City, and soon Bethany Beach, Delaware. Also in Nick’s portfolio are Maui Golf, Beach Ball Golf and Down Under Golf.
“People are going to enjoy the game of mini golf, our primary product, but second to that we go overboard with our themes,” explains Geracimos. “I want people to come and enjoy the whole experience that comes with mini golf – the friends, the family, the competition.”
