From high quality restaurants serving up fresh seafood, including blue crabs and oysters, and other delicious menu options to an array of top-notch events, there are countless ways to enjoy a taste of the Delaware Beaches.
During the summer, the region is filled with entertaining and budget-friendly activities such as event series filled with concerts, movies and bonfires on the beach. With America’s Semiquincentennial commemoration well underway, the Delaware Beaches are hosting all kinds of 250th anniversary experiences throughout 2026, with nearby Historic Lewes as a central hub for celebrations. The Delaware Beaches are also a place with a deep love for the arts and where you’ll discover fabulous art events, such as the 48th Annual Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival in mid-September. In October, the Sea Witch® Festival is another favorite annual event not to miss.
This is also a region big on outdoor recreation, from water activities and nature trails. In 2026, Delaware State Parks marks its 75th anniversary, so it’s a perfect time for exploring the region’s excellent parks such as Cape Henlopen State Park and Delaware Seashore State Park. The Delaware Beaches also offer an abundance of other family-friendly attractions and activities, from mini golf to local galleries. And the tax free shopping is certainly pretty amazing!
